To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Paige Mitchell. I am from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and I am in my third year of the Secondary Education program at the University of Regina. I am an English major and a mathematics minor. I chose to become an educator because I have always loved learning and I want to be able to share that love of learning with others. English was a clear choice for my major study area as both reading and writing are passions of mine. I enjoyed mathematics throughout my learning experience and would like to help students learn mathematics through deep mathematical thinking.
I am interested in using technology in the classroom. I have worked with and gained skills that I use to support learning, show students how to use technology productively, and prepare learners to be digital citizens. I have also had opportunities to work with diversity in the classroom. I am a dedicated life-long learner; I enjoy opportunities for professional development and self-improvement. I believe in modeling what I teach, so I make sure that I am prepared to do so. I am also creative and work hard in all aspects of my own literacy. Teaching and learning are very important aspects of my life; it is my hope that I can use what I have learned to teach well, learn more from my experiences, and always find ways to become better at what I do.
